Do you have a national I.D? Are looking for how to register for national identity card? Then you have come to the final bus-stop as I will be walking you through the process of registering for NIMC identity card and getting a NIN number almost immediately.
So, without much ado, here's the step by step process.
1. Walk into any NIMC Enrollment center around your area and request for an Enrollment form. Click here to see NIMC centers around your area
2. Fill the form with your details. Ensure you enter your details accurately to avoid future regrets.
3. Hand over the filled form to the the enrollment officer who will enter the correctly filled form to the system application.
4. Your head-shot photograph, fingerprints and signature will be captured and scanned into the system application.
5. Once the bio-metric information and data have been fully captured, the system will generate two slips which will be handed over to you;
- A transaction Slip.
- NIN Slip confirming successful completion of the enrollment.
- Old National ID card
- Valid Driver’s license
- Valid International passport
- Voter’s ID card (PVC)
- Govt. staff ID card
- State of origin certificate
- Birth certificate/declaration of age
- Or any other valid ID document (as accepted by NIMC)
That's all. The NIN slip given to you has a unique number. You should secure the slip while waiting for plastic card.
WARNING: DO NOT REGISTER TWICE!
