 Yes! The headline is not misleading. MTN Nigeria in partnership with Lumos electricity has announced a slash in the price of the MTN Yellowbox from N26,000 to N19,000 one time set up. However, the price of the monthly subscription remain same. 
 
This move may have been caused by the complaint by Nigerians who complained that setup fee is too outrageous, hence the reduction in the setup fee.  
 
It would be recalled that sometime this year, Mtn, in partnership with lumos mobile electricity launched the solar powered electricity known as by many as the mtn yellowbox. The power in a box has been providing users with constant power supply 24/7.  
 
However, there is limit to appliances the mobile electricity can carry as it is just a portable power system that requires appliances with low power unit. I have included in this post an info-graphic images of appliances it can power and the one it can't power.

POLICE ARREST EX-CORPORAL, FIVE OTHERS FOR THE ABDUCTING AND KILLING OF IMO CATHOLIC PRIEST

The suspected killers of of Rev Fr Cyriacus Onunkwo of Orlu Catholic Diocese in Imo State were on Thursday paraded before newsmen by the state commissioner of Police, Chris Ezike. 
 
The prime suspect is a 32-year-old ex-corporal, Jude Madu, who masterminded the abduction of the cleric. 
 
The Rev Fr was kidnapped while returning home from the burial rites of his father, Celestine Onunkwo. 
 
Others are Izuchukwu Okafor, 28, from Ukwukwa in Azia in Anambra State; Cyril Onyema, 29, from Okwelle in Imo State; Emmanuel Ozuigbo, 29, from Ezeagu in Enugu State; Victor Ikechukwu, 33, from Obowo in Imo State; and Ifeanyi Nwosu, 28, a native of Azia in Ihiala Local Government Area. 
 
According to the CP, the operations which led to the arrest of the kidnappers cuts across three states of Imo, Anambra, and Rivers. 
 
The police boss said that the priest's telephone and wrist watch were recovered from two out of six of the suspects. 
 
Ezike said,  “The investigating team using forensic technology and backed up by hardwork, commitment, passion, and hunger for success ex-corporal Jude Madu who was found in possession of late Rev Fr Onunkwo's Infinix telephone handset”. 
 
According to the CP, the ex-corporal  “was a member of of the Armed Robbery/Kidnapping syndicate and took part in the operation. He holds a Diploma from Abia State Polytechnic, Aba, and was arrested on September 5, at Control Post in Owerri in possession of the deceased's phone. He has confessed to the crime.”

The National Identity Management
 Commission, NIMC, has rolled out sms platform to help Nigerians check 
the status of their identity card without hassles or going to enrollment
 centers to do so. This means that anyone can comfortably sit in his 
house or anywhere and check if the card is ready or not.

ascertain and verify the authenticity of their National Identification

In this post, I will assume that you have already registered for the I.D card in any of NIMC enrollment centers spread across states in Nigeria and have already received your NIN number and confirmation slip at the point of registration. If that is the case, then continue to read this informative guide on how to check and if possible, collect your card. Step 1. Pick up your NIN card issued to you on the point of registering for the I.D Card.

Note: According to National Identity Management Commision (NIMC), you will be sent an sms confirming the readiness of your card. So, without much ado, here's the step by step process. 
 
1. Walk into any NIMC Enrollment center around your area and request for an Enrollment form. Click here to see <a href="http://www.nimc.gov.ng/nimc-enrolment-centres/" target="_blank">NIMC centers </a>around your area 
 
2. Fill the form with your details. Ensure you enter your details accurately to avoid future regrets. 
 
3. Hand over the filled form to the the enrollment officer who will enter the correctly filled form to the system application. 
 
4. Your head-shot photograph, fingerprints and signature will be captured and scanned into the system application. 
 
5. Once the bio-metric information and data have been fully captured, the system will generate two slips which will be handed over to you;

<li>A transaction Slip.</li>
<li>NIN Slip confirming successful completion of the enrollment.</li>
</ul>
Side note: You are required to come along with any means of identification such as:

Etisalat Nigeria Limited has finally bowed out of Nigeria and handed over its brand to 9Mobile, a new flagship telecom company.  
 
This was contained in an unveiling of the new brand 9Mobile Telecom in Lagos yesterday by the Chief Executive Officer of the company Mr. Bode Olusanya. 
 
Fielding questions from the press and investors at their corporate headquarter, the venue of the official unveiling of the brand name and logo, the CEO said the new brand identity reflect bold and creative attributes the company shared with its subscribers. by the customers.  
 
He assured the subscribers that the change of name will not affect the customers, even as it will open ways for new investors to step in. 
 
He emphasized that the company will continue with the innovative services the former brand, Etisalat maintained in its over nine years service to the country before pulling out due to unforeseen circumstances.  
 
He said: "Our new trading name, 9Mobile, represents our 0809ja heritage, our 9ja-centricity, and our evolution over nine years of operations in Nigeria. Although our trading name has changed, we remain true to the same values on which our company was built. 
 
 "In our nine years of operation, we have remained in the forefront of innovation and take pride in consistently delivering superior experiences to our subscribers. We continue to establish meaningful partnership with our customers and partners by providing platforms that supports their goals and aspirations." 
 
Other key-holders of the company also spoke on the new brand name even as the Chief Finance officer of the company, Funke Ighodaro, corroborated the statement of the Ceo. 
 
It will be recalled that a three-week ultimatum handed down by Etisalat UAE that the name be dropped from use in Nigeria as it withdrew all its business engagement in Nigeria company following a protracted unresolved $1.2b (about N541billion) loan borrowed from consortium of 13 Nigerian banks that includes Access Bank, Zenith Bank, GTBank, FirstBank, as well as other foreign banks. 
 
With the new development, all Etisalat subscribers are expected to identify with the new brand 9Mobile.

This feature allows you to create a personalized yahoo mail auto vacation reply to any mail that comes to your inbox when you are on vacation to anywhere in the world.  
 
In this tutorial, I will teach you how to setup automatic reply using your Yahoo account. 
 
Without wasting your precious time, here's the method.

<li> Login to your Yahoo! Mail account</li>
<li> Click on the 'Setting' icon on the right hand of the page.</li>
<li> Locate 'More Settings' and click on it.</li>
<li> Locate and click on 'Vacation Response'.</li>
<li> Select Enable Vacation response.</li>
<li> Select a start and end date for your vacation response.</li>
<li> Enter the response you want the senders to see in the 'Message' box</li>
<li> Done! Click save. </li>
</ol>
 
Note: To turn off the auto-vacation response, simply follow the instruction above and turn off or deselect the 'Enable auto-response'.

Note: Each sender will receive just one vacation email no matter the number of emails they sent to you once you setup the auto reply.

Relax...don't be itchy to know how because I will walk you through the process.  
 
We all know that Facebook has no outbox or option for saving and backing up important files or even articles we don't want to post immediately. You either you post the article immediately or have it deleted.  
 
In a nutshell, Facebook does not have outbox where your can save unpublished articles.

Supposing you stumble on an article you found interesting and wishes to read it in your leisure, but you don't want to loose the link to the article or the article itself, this is where this trick I'm about to teach you now will apply.</div>

You might also want to save your premium softwares, ebook and or zipped files in Facebook so you can always have a backup should anything bad happen to your storage device.</div>

However, this trick is not 100% safe. You are advised to have backup all your files somewhere safe. If you rely solely on this trick, you might be putting your premium file at risk because Facebook may disable or deny you access to your account one day and all the files will be gone.</div>
 
Having stated the importance of making a backup of your files in Facebook, as well as the dangers involved in 'putting all your eggs inside one basket', how then can we save articles we wanna post later, upload a software, zipped files and PDFs? 
 
Here's the step by step method. 
<ol>
<li> Log in to your Facebook account</li>
<li> Locate and click on ''New Message''.</li>
<li>Type in your name and the 'auto display' feature will display names with the keyword entered. Select you name.</li>
<li>Type your articles in the box or upload your pix, zipped files, software, etc (Whichever you wanna upload).</li>
<li>Click on 'send' once done. The article you typed, uploaded zipped files, pics, software will appear in your inbox.</li>
<li> The dialogue box will close the moment you hit the send button.</li>
</ol>
That's it. Very simple. To see the message, go to your inbox and click on the message on your name, it will display the what you saved there.
